IZARD "Nigu" EVANS Sr. (RIP)


IZARD "Nigu" EVANS Sr.,entered eternal rest on Novemder 8,2009. The third eldest of eight children,he was born in Napoleonville,Louisiana,October 19,1925 to the late Simms and Corrine Garrison Evans.

IZARD,affectionately known as "THE WORM MAN" acceptad Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at the Calvary Baptist Church under theleadership of the late Rev. O.C. Robinson and served until his death.

On January 11,1947,he was united in holy matrimony to his cherished wife,Rosemary Granger Evans. From this union,seven childen were born.

IZARD was educated in Cutoff,Louisiana. From 1940 - 1946,he served in the united States Army.

IZARD was a loveing husband,father,grandfather and brother to his family. He will be tremendously missed by all who loved and knew him.

IZARD was preceded in death by his parents,Simms and Corrine Evans,three sisters,Corrine Butler,Mercedes Granger and Nellie King. Three brothers,Rev. Medrick Washington,Herman Tunson and Aidert Tunson.
He leaves to cherish his memories,his loveing and devoted wife of 63 yeaqrs,Rosemary Granger Evans,three sons,Izard Jr.Ronald Sr.,and Harold Evans;four daughters,Dianne Keys,Elaine Evans(my mom),Debra Fultz,and Carolyn Evans,one sister,eula Mae Jackson Baldwin;two brother,Burnell and Wilbert Tunson;twenty three grandchildren,forty nine great grandchildren,two great,great grandchildren,one sister-in-law,Bernice Granger,a devoted cousin,Margaret Thomas,three Godchidren,Roland Simmons,Gertrude Jackson Rhea and Yvonne Gayle,nieces,nephews,cousins and friends.
